George Lloyd-Owen (known as G Lo) has collaborated with senior artist Mthuthuzeli November on numerous occasions over the past 6 years. Most recently, she composed, produced, mixed and performed the score for Ballet Black’s short film “Like Water”, which won multiple awards, including Best Experimental Short Film at the London International Film Festival 2021.
In the daytime, G Lo works as a recording engineer at Royal College of Music. Outside of this job, she composes to moving picture, arranges strings for artists of varying genres, and performs with three different bands. She hopes one day to collaborate on a live work with a dance company such as Ballet Black.
